5 Free DIY Crafts For The Weekend!

As the week begins to come to a close, I thought I'd share some really cute free DIY crafts I've found while wandering the internet in continuation to my last posts "Ode to Lazy Winter". Some can be done quickly while others may take a little longer depending on your expertise, but these 5 crafts seem like the perfect projects to take on during the wintery weekend!

So without further ado, here they are!

1. Baby Owl Ornaments by Josephine Wu

I thought these were really cute and seem fairly easy to make. I especially love all the colors she used for them in this picture! They'd make an adorable little gift for the owl lover in your life.

2. Crochet Cactus Amigurumi by Ana Paula Rimoli

I haven't tried my hand at crocheting plants yet, but I really love how cute this crochet cactus looks. I especially loved how creative other crafters have gotten with this pattern by actually turning the cactus into a pin cushion! What a great idea considering I'm always losing my pins and needles!

3. Boxy Bear by 5 Little Monsters

Yet one more adorable project to add to my personal goodies list. This cutie would make an adorable welcome home gift for a new addition to the family. Their site even has two extra patterns for a Boxy Fox and a Boxy Owl, so your Boxy Bear can have Boxy Buddies to hang out with!

4. DIY Woven Coasters by Jelica (APrettyFix.com)

For the weavers both beginner and expert, these coasters are beautiful and would make a fun craft to try out (and also spruce up your tables). Seeing these give me nice memories of my time living in Arizona and I definitely would like to try making these for myself! As a plus! they even give you instructions on how to make your own mini loom!

5. Cute Crochet Envelope by Rachel Choi

Last but not least, here is a very simple yet adorable crochet pattern for a crochet envelope. This is a perfect little project for beginners. Since valentines day is just around the corner, you can make a couple of these and hand them to your sweeties! Maybe with a nice little note inside :)
